Jennie W, Masayuki,
Today Masayuki and I went into the optics lab for some JAC prep.
- He crimped the connectors onto the PZT wires after we cut off the soldered end and stripped some of the insulation away last week.
- We removed the tranport end caps which protect the mirrors.
- Masayuki also wiped down the top of the JAC.
- We took the JAC ASSY onto the flow bench, removed the mirror/mirror-cap assys and used FC to clean the HR surfaces.
- We checked the cable connection between the pins and the solder joint on the PZT ring.
- We used the top gun to blow off dust from the HR and A R surfaces and re-installed the end caps.
- We will leave the JAC assy covered on the flow bench as we still need to install some cable routing.
- Our other parts for the JAC damper are in the clean room right behind the flow benches under some foil. The quarter of the bench not covered by foil needs wiping again but can be used for other assembly.
